GE Vernova’s Gas Power business engineers advanced, efficient natural gas-powered technologies and services, along with decarbonization solutions that aim to help electrify a lower carbon future. As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver and continuously improve foundational craft and mechanical skills instruction aligned to entry-level field service roles
- Facilitate classroom and lab-based instruction using approved curriculum, tooling, and training hardware
- Partner with senior instructors and technical SMEs to translate field requirements into effective training experiences
- Reinforce shop safety, human performance, and quality standards in every learning environment
- Support alignment with Texas CTE frameworks, dual-credit pathways, and industry credentials
- Coordinate training in logistics and materials in collaboration with internal support teams
- Evaluate student performance using established learning objectives and assessment tools
- Support education partnerships and workforce programs in coordination with program leadership
- Contribute to community outreach, student engagement events, and employer-branding efforts
- Research, apply for, and manage state and federal workforce development grants, CTE funding, and dual-enrollment partnerships.
- Serve as liaison between public education systems and private industry partners.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Applied Sciences, Engineering Technology, Workforce Development, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant industrial experience
- 5+ years teaching or training experience in CTE, skilled trades, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or similar fields
- Experience instructing high-school or early-career learners in shop or lab environments
- Strong foundation in mechanical systems, tools, prints, measurement, safety, and equipment operation
- Familiarity with Texas CTE pathways, dual-credit models, or workforce readiness programs
- Willingness to grow technical depth through structured training and co-instruction
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience teaching Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Welding, or similar pathways
- Valid Appropriate CTE Teaching Certification, issued by Texas Education Agency
- Background working with Texas ISDs, high schools, or technical colleges
- Familiarity with industry credentials such as NCCER, SACA, OSHA, or NIMS
- Strong classroom and shop-floor presence with a student-first mindset
- Curiosity and openness to learning new technologies in the energy sector
- Comfortable working across education and industry teams
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Compensation and Benefits:
The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000. This is an exempt from overtime position. FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program.
